Welcome to LouisvilleBeer.com

We’re so happy you decided to show up. Have a seat, get comfy, heck, crack open a beer if you want. This is LouisvilleBeer.com fer cryin’ out loud.

John M. Wurth registered and launched the first LouisvilleBeer.com back in 2008 as he was slowly getting into craft beer. It started as a message board for him and his friends to review beers (both local and national). It went on, and got up to a whopping 25 members or so, and that’s when the spammers took over. John ended up shutting the site down in 2009, and there it sat.

Enter 2011. The two Johns (Wurth and Campbell) had been talking about a way to collaborate on a fun project. Wurth suggested putting together a podcast/video blog. After a couple more beers, they decided to develop LouisvilleBeer.com into a full-fledged website that would be a hub for locals and visitors to learn about the growing interest of craft beer in Louisville. Podcasts, interviews, reviews, stories, history and everything else will come together here (eventually).

What sets LouisvilleBeer.com apart is the experience our small team brings to the table. John Campbell brings over 8 years of working in the regional beer industry, John Wurth brings his design and marketing experience from Hatch Creative, and Roger Baylor is our staff writer that you all know from owning one of the best local breweries in Indiana: The New Albanian Brewing Company.
