The Bluegrass Brewing Co production brewery, located at 636 E Main Street, was established in 2001 and is now proud to be the largest microbrewery in Kentucky. We are fortunate that the city of Louisville has always had a rich brewing history that reaches back over 100 years. This heritage has provided BBC with a strong foundation that we enthusiastically embrace. We welcome visitors to stop by and tour our ever expanding production facility and enjoy a fresh beer with the BBC brewers and team at our Taproom.
The Taproom, which operates at the production facility, is a quiet oasis in the heart of NULU located on the east side of downtown. There you will find the freshest beer in the city surrounded by a setting that reflects Louisville’s history of brewing. Throughout the years we have compiled a “museum” of artifacts that date back before prohibition and represent the brewing history of our beloved city.
Our ongoing goal and mission is to cultivate Louisville’s brewing heritage and continue to grow our distribution network throughout the central and eastern United States. We aim to accomplish this by producing world class beers and incorporating the finest ingredients while maintaining an uncompromising commitment to quality. By doing so, we hope to build an army of followers one pint at a time and have tremendous fun in the process.
To book the taproom for a private party call after 4:00pm.
