Against The Grain Brewery

The Brewery:

Against the Grain fills a niche in the competitive Louisville craft beer market by providing maximum dynamism.  We highlight the gamut of beer possibilities by maintaining six broad flavor categories (Session, Hop, Whim, Malt, Dark, and Smoke) while constantly rotating the particular beers within those parameters.  Each brew is a new beer, which means, in essence, every beer is a specialty.  This means that we can roll out a blend of guideline-conforming classic styles as well as boundary breaking experiments.  A classic English Mild may be found next to an adjunct-laden, herbal, barrel-aged, white stout.  At Against the Grain, anything isn’t just possible, it’s probable.

The Kitchen:

Our kitchen is, at its core, a smokehouse that echoes the creativity and dynamism of our beers.  Frequent menu changes and specials allow us to utilize the freshest local ingredients and provide interesting new ideas alongside familiar, comfortable smokehouse staples like pulled pork sandwiches and smoked chicken wings.  A substantial focus on vegetarian and vegan options also sets us apart by creating meat-free fare that is still rich, smokey, and flavorful.”
