In the years since, the concept has been tweaked, and so breakfast starts at 7:00 a.m., when it’s actually legal to drink beer in Hoosierland. There’ll be locally-baked Honey Cream doughnuts, breakfast snacks prepared by the marvelous Sarah, Ed Needham's home-roasted coffee, and the full opening day roster of Gravity Head selections. Stop by and get into the spirit before you go to work ... but what the hey; it’s Gravity Head, so why even go to work?

- 6th Annual Blessing of the Beer and Tapping of the KegStarts: 5:30 pmEnds: March 8, 2012 - 11:30 pmLocation: BBC Clay & Main 636 East Main St. 40202Description: The Blessing of the Beer event will be held at the BBC production brewery located at 636 East Main St. Join the BBC Brew Crew and the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) in this classic annual ceremony as Louisville kicks off the St. Patrick’s Day holiday. The festivities will begin at 5:30 as a procession, lead by the AOH and a bagpiper, will march through the facility. A catholic priest will then bless all of the Bourbon Barrel Stout present in the brewery. The Bourbon Barrel Stout is again honored to be the Official Beer of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. After the beer has been blessed, we will proceed to Oshea's on Baxter Avenue for the Tapping of the Keg.
***BBC Taproom will be featuring the first ever Celtic Hell only for this night. Celtic Hell is specialty red ale that has been aged in Bourbon Barrels for over a year. The approximate ABV for this great beer is 9%.
Tapping of the Keg: A keg of the Blessed beer will be delivered to Oshea's on Baxter Ave where the AOH will lead us in prayer, and the keg will be tapped and served until it runs out. This will mark the official start to the holiday.

- [Gravity Head 2012] St. Patrick’s DayStarts: 12:00 amEnds: March 18, 2012 - 12:00 amLocation: 3312 Plaza Drive New Albany, INDescription: Wearing of the green is one thing, but ingesting green-tinted swill is tantamount to wearing a badge that reads, “I’m neither Irish nor particularly bright – scoff at me.” The accepted colors of Irish beer are black (stout), red (ale) and gold (lager), and in our traditionally minimalist fashion, we’ll be offering three non-Gravity draft selections that roughly approximate each of these styles, while endeavoring to shun other, more inauthentic forms of proto-Hibernian revelry. You have been warned.
